How is SST different?
Single Session Therapy is an evidence-based approach to counselling that adopts an intentional, purposeful format, providing immediate, valuable support in one session.
Did you know?
The most common number of therapy sessions attended is one.
In contrast, traditional counselling assumes your first session to be one of many and that an ongoing, regular commitment is required for it to be of value.
Research shows that, done right, a single session can be as effective as the more traditional ongoing method.
Single Session Therapy is an evidence-based approach that adopts an intentional, purposeful format, providing immediate, valuable support in one session.
The unique structure of Single Session Therapy ensures that it is solution oriented and focused. So, whether you are looking for insight, a space to offload, or strategies for change, you’ll leave with exactly what you need.
Will one session really be enough?
Single Session Therapy is not a ‘one and done’ counselling solution. Rather, the principle is a ‘one at a time’ therapy service. It is not uncommon for a single session to meet your immediate needs and could be sufficient to overcome a challenge. Further support is also available if needed, once you allow time to implement changes and observe and reflect on the impact that may have.
